Method

  1. Heat water
  2. When water is hot, rinse the filter
  3. Place Chemex brewer and filter on the scale and tare (zero) the scale
  4. Grind the coffee
  5. Pour grounds into the filter
  6. Wet the grounds with approximately 60 grams of water
  7. Wait 30 to 60 seconds for the coffee to “bloom” (degas)
  8. Pour the rest of the water (approximately 400 g) over the grounds in two roughly equal pours
  9. Enjoy!
