Method
- Heat water
- Place French press on the scale and tare (zero) the scale
- Grind the coffee
- Pour grounds into the filter
- Pour the water over the grounds, being careful to wet all of the grounds
- Wait 30 to 60 seconds for the coffee to “bloom” (degas)
- Stir the grounds so that they sink
- Allow the coffee to brew for four minutes, then depress the plunger
- Pour all coffee out of the French press immediately, as coffee left in the container will continue to extract
- Enjoy!
