  1. Heat water
  2. Place French press on the scale and tare (zero) the scale
  3. Grind the coffee
  4. Pour grounds into the filter
  5. Pour the water over the grounds, being careful to wet all of the grounds
  6. Wait 30 to 60 seconds for the coffee to “bloom” (degas)
  7. Stir the grounds so that they sink
  8. Allow the coffee to brew for four minutes, then depress the plunger
  9. Pour all coffee out of the French press immediately, as coffee left in the container will continue to extract
  10. Enjoy!
